All unsolicited submissions are viewed and appreciated but we can not respond to everyone (sorry)

4. WHY DO SO MANY EPISODES OF THIS IS A MAGAZINE SAY 'OUT OF PRINT'?
This is an internet magazine, so in theory all you need is some internet. Then you can read and keep this magazine as much as you like for free, no strings attached.

Except, [fast forward 10 years to now] when there are stronger economic forces at play that interrupt this free service with their software's programmed redundancy, but that is a long story. We are working on getting the early issues back out there... :)

3. Powerpoint Presentation (FOR ISSUE 14):

4. Flash Issues (particularly 1 through 13): these are now 'Out of Print' as Flash is no longer generally supported, but we are currently experimenting with conversions to preserve readability.

5. THIS BOOK/COMPENDIUM IS TOO EXPENSIVE, PLEASE CAN YOU SEND ME ONE FOR FREE?
Online editions are (when available) always free of charge and the first compendia are available as free PDF downloads. Also, we will send at no charge a copy of any available printed edition to any public or academic library, or to any public collection; which means you could go to your local public or universityThe free bird library and ask them to place a request; they can contact us directly for qualification details.

6. THIS IS TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE, WHAT MULTINATIONAL YOUTH-TARGETING BRAND IS BEHIND ALL THIS?
We are independent (read "not externally financed") artists/publishers who are looking beyond conventional commercial models of distribution and production.

7. ALL THIS GREAT STUFF IS ON THE INTERNET (WHICH IS FREE) SO NO-ONE WILL MIND IF I TAKE IT TO PRINT ON MY T-SHIRT...RIGHT?
All material in This is (not) a Magazine online and offline publications, including Compendia and DVDs, is licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution-Noncommercial-No Derivative Works 3.0 Unported License.

Also, much of the material in This is a Magazine, This is not a Magazine, and related Compendia and DVD publications is bound by a limited first-use exclusivity agreement between the artist and This is a magazine, and re-publication is subject to both the publisher's AND artists' consent.
